On this particular day, I was thinking about an up coming speaking engagement I had just accepted in  November to speak at a leadership conference for 250 student leaders in Lawrence County, Tennessee. As I began pulling weeds, I attempted to outline in my message in my head. Stooped over my…

Andres Rodriguez

Did you know social media is just as important as breathing for most teenage girls? It’s true! Girls are relationally wired. Relationships with their peers are one of the most important things to them. Social media has opened wide new avenues for teen girls to “relate” or communicate with each other. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram are the most widely used social media sites. Unfortunately, teenagers are not emotionally mature and so many lack the communication skills necessary to use these social media sites responsibly. This is why girl bullying is quickly becoming an epidemic. These sites are not only used…

November 29, 2012 by Shaylene King In: Bullying Tagged: bullying, mean, mean girls, mean stinks

Meanamorphosis, are you familiar with this word? Did you know, Mean doesn’t just happen. It is a specific, strategic and purposeful plan of attack. Is there such a thing as Meanamorphosis? I think yes! “What is It?”  Good question. Meanamorphosis: is a marked change in appearance, character, condition or function using meanness as a weapon to inflict damage. Take a good look at yourself. Have you gone through the change of meanamorphosis? Check out this short film presented by Mean Stinks and ask yourself this question? “Am I like any of these girls?” A great way to to stave off  meanamorphosis,  T.H.I.N.K. before you act. Is what you…
